*very* quick Golden Globe predications for the 77th awards

I’ve just got back from Scotland! In my tired state, I really want to stay up and watch the 2020 Golden Globes, but if I don’t, here’s my idea of who might snag one of those shinny awards!

Best Motion Picture: Marriage Story

Best Actor (Drama): Joaquain Pheonix (Joker)

Best Actress (Drama): Scarlett Johanson (Marriage Story)

Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy): JoJo Rabbit

Best Actress (Musical or Comedy): Beanie Fledstien (Booksmart)

Best Actor (Musical or Comedy): Taron Egerton (Rocketman)

Best Supprting Actor (Drama): Al Pacino (The Irishman)

Best Supporting Actress (Drama): Laura Dern (Marriage Story)

Best Director of a Motion Picture: Sam Mendes (1917)

Best Orginal Screenplay: Noah Bambach (Marrige Story)

Best Orginal Score: Alexendre Desplat (Little Women)

Best Television Series (Drama): The Crown

Best Televison Actress (Drama): Jodie Cromer (Killing Eve)

Best Televison Actor (Drama): Rami Malek (Mr Robot)

Best Televison Series (Musical or Comedy): The Marvelous Mrs Maisel

Best Actress (Musical or Comedy): Rachel Brosnahan (Mrs Maisel)

Best Actor (Musical or Comedy): Ben Platt (The Politician)

I’m sorry to all the other categories that I’ve missed! I do think it’s a really good year for cinema and Televison! As with every year, the lack of female directors is frustrating (Hello Hollywood Foriegn Press Greta Gerwig?!) and I personally thought the Politican and Little Women would have been nominated for more.

I’ll be sharing the event on my Instagram page @screentoseenblog

Happy Globes Day!
